Building is nearing completion for a 64-bed care home in Chellaston, close to the centre of Derby.

The home will be opening on 11th October, but as final preparations are being made to welcome our first resident please feel free to pop in for a cup of coffee and a look around the home.

Bluebell Park will deliver nursing and residential care services as well as personalised dementia care in one of Barchester`s unique Memory Lane Communities. 

The Memory Lane Community at Chellaston is specially designed for those living with a dementia using colour schemes that easily enable residents to identify areas within the home, yellow for dining areas for example. The home will feature life skills kitchens, where residents can be involved in everyday kitchen activities such as baking and setting the table.
The home will feature a range of services and facilities including a coffee area, hair salon and landscaped gardens. All bedrooms will be en-suite.
The whole home is designed to create a home-like feel with furnishings designed with older people in mind, from the sofas and chairs in the living rooms to the sculpted gardens. Throughout the home there is a range of communal and dining facilities to suit people who enjoy socialising as well as those who prefer quieter activities.
